Just outta curiosity, has anyone here had the opportunity to train with Grandmaster Pui Chan in Florida? If I'm not mistaken, I think he was a shaolin disciple. Also, anyone heard of master Pickens from Ng Family gongfu? I think he teaches the Five Animal (or Five Formed) Shaolin Fist.

You can go to Wahlum.com to get some information on Chan Pui. I know that he and his schools are fairly respected in the martial arts community in florida. He is also not a shaolin disciple. His lineage comes from the Wahlum temple in Shantung, China.
And if I'm not mistaken, the Ng family teaches Five Ancestor boxing...that style practices a proto-Sanchin form, famous in several styles of Karate.-Jesse Pasleytm

All interesting stuff, all of which I knew already, but thanks anyway. But, my question still stands. Has anyone here had any FIRSTHAND experience with either of those training schools?a true gongfu system must have the four major aspects of combat to be complete, "striking", "Kicking", Chin'na (joint-locking), and Shuai-Jiao (Wrestling)... in addition it must combine the internal with the external...
