rotater cup in shoulder

does anyone know any info on muscle tear to the rotater cup in the shoulder? does anyone know what is good for it? doctor has referred to a othapedic surgeon. just thought some one might of had the same thing? not for me but for the old man..

See a licensed acupuncturist, and a very skilled massage therapist. I know an acupuncturist whose also an orthopedic surgeon in the los angeles area if that helps.
