  • Shaolin Gong Fu

Is Shaolin gong fu a style of its own or is it a gong fu system that incorporates many gong fu styles into one?

Could anyone help with an answer or point me in the right direction.

Did you try reading in the Shaolin FAQ in the main part of the site?

Also, doing a search will lead you to some things. Here's a few:

shaolin has a bunch of forms. i think somewhere along the lines of history, the styles from northern china merged with styles from southers china.

the shaolin temples were places of refuge for all kinds of people, so i wouldnt doubt it, being those times, that a myriad of martial arts styles graced the doorstep of the shaolin temples.

Thats why later they were targeted by the government and razed to the ground. but they were later rebuilt because how can you just do that to shaolin temples? not cool.
