  • jin Na Luo Statues

Another question to....well everyone who might know something.

In "A journey through the past" , written by Uwe Schwenk (Rusbo's book section), You can see the 3 statues that were inside the hall before the destruction of 1928. There was a copper, rattan and iron statue of Jin Na Luo. If I place them next to the statues that were recasted after the destruction, I can't make any comparison . I mean the statues pre 1928 are looking more like GuanYin, they doesn't look like the Guardian Bodhissattva You can find now inside of the hall.
Anybody might know why they recasted them totaly different ? The 'after 1928' statues looks more nice and impressive than the pre 1928's...maybe more attractive for the tourists ?
