Wow. Just checked this flick and what a job. There is a lot to absorb in this movie and it was packed so I had to sit in the very first row- there is probably a lot of stuff I missed so I will definitely check this again.
That being said, two things impressed me about the Wachowskis- their attention to little idiosyncratic devices and obscure references that I would say maybe 1 out of 10 people watching their work could possibly ever get, but if you are one of those 10, it just elevates the experience.
For me, it was naming one character the Merovingian, and also a sentence Morpheus says which is a quote from Vishnu. I won't say what it was, because it might give away something...
My only complaints about the flick were two scenes where the CGI was just way too obvious, and the gay dance scene should have been left on the cutting room floor.
Otherwise, there were quite a few ridiculous scenes in this flick, and quite a few others that are bordering on ricockulous.
