Whoa, other than me, BL is the next in line as a red reputator. I think there is one other guy, but I think he was just stealin stuff.

shaolin_animal has four red boxes, but it still says he's on a distinguished road. Hmmm. I guess on the peckin order, it would go

      animal, me, BL.

What's the supposed to mean? I am trying to repent and refrain for my old ways. You think I stole those 300 from you? I assure you I haven't even entertained the thought. Except for Doc. I entertained the thought of stealing his money, but only for a little bit.

The more older monks would dig a 2 foot hole in the ground and make it 4 feet wide. Jump in and out of this hole and after mastering this buy one of those belts that you can strap weights on to and jump in and out like this. After mastering this keep on digging one foot into the ground and master each one. You may wonder why it needs to be 4 feet wide, thats because to increase your jumping length you just stap on those weights and jump across increasing your weight. After one year of practicing this you'll master it.

                  • I've been to the temple and around the town but I've seen no holes deeper than a foot or so and those holes are filled with sand. Not to mention there's usually a ramp or pile or earth that they jump off of. We have the same thing at my school here in Shouguang. As far as the weights, I have yet to see anyone here training with 'em. They simply jump alot !!!! It's fun ! We spend half my class about an hour and a half jumping and attempting flips. Well, I attempt, the Chinese kids actually do them.

I will say that these kids do get some air. But it's just a combination of everything, the amount of time spent jumping, the strength in their legs from all the hours of training, the weight ratio, it's everything !!! Basketball players jump high too, right ?! But look at all the hours and billions of times they have jumped. It's the same as the shaolin / wushu kids here. That's what they do, all day, everyday. You spend the majority of your life jumping, you can jump high.

As far as the hole theory, my shifu in the US told me the same thing when I asked how to increase my airtime. Then he folowed that by claiming he's never actualy seen anyone do it. Finally he told me just to practice a lot. Which funny enough was also his answer for everything. Sprained your ancle, practice. Have a fever, practice. Got aids, practice.

                    Now that's sage advice
