    Where do the 16 movements and 10 movements yang style forms come from? which association? the date?

    Depends...

    I'm not sure about either, but many schools have there own versions. They may just be specific to each school. Of course, I could be thinking of the wrong things though. You can find info on the 24 and 32 sword forms online, plus the compulsory taiji forms like the 48 and 42.

      From what I understand these are modern forms, the ancient yang chen fu form is 108 some odd movements (granted some of it is repetition) vs the modern 24 form or something

        from what i know the standard your talking about come from yang cheng fu after he customized the 108 pattern of his father yang lu chan
