        Cancer can be cured.

My knowledge of healing is restricted to Chi Kung, but the underlying theory is the same in all branches of Chinese Medicine: cancer, or any other disease, is a symptom of a disruption in the flow of energy - clear the blockage and the body will clear the symptoms, as it is designed to do.

The actual result will, of course, depend on the individual case.

There must be time - unlike Western Medicine, which is excellent for overcoming life-threatening symptoms, Chi Kung treatment will take time. I would say if there is less than 6 months available then more drastic measures are required.

The patient must genuinely want to overcome the disease, and be willing to do whatever it takes to make this happen. The Mind is very important. It is not enough to have a general wish to get better - there must be real determination. It must also come from the patient, not from the patient's friends, or family.

The Chi Kung practiced must be genuine, not the (sadly) more common form which is just gentle physical exercise. For a serious problem like cancer it will also need to be high-level Chi Kung - one that operates on all 3 levels of Form, Energy and Mind.

Of course, it also possible to use Chi Kung as a supporting treatment, for example in addition to chemotherapy. In this case it would be used to help the patient's body recover from the collateral damage of the main treatment.

My best wishes to your brother and all your family.

George, pretty strong and hopeful statements.

Got anything to back them up? Any supporting literature? References?

          Any suggestions regarding this case?

Doc? What do you visualize when someone talks about a blockage in the body causing cancer?

If we can figure out what your view of the body is, maybe we can think of a way to help you see it from our point of view.

Quantum healing, by Deepak Chopra. He's written more but at this point that is the book I am currently reading.

There's others out there who also think we're making a bigger problem out of cancer than it needs to be.

I don't visualize blockages in the body that cause cancer.

I view body cells that trigger for some reason and then reproduce in a haphazard and continuous fashion.

And I don't read anything by Deepak Chopra. Is he friends with WKK?

Just some suggested reading, since Mbuku doesn't seem to realize he's a late bloomer on his own subject.

Also, does it matter who Chopra is friends with? I'm friends with you and people still listen to me ^^.

WKK has some interesting viewpoints on cancer.

One day I'll get the Forum Archive up and running again.

No. Some sort of Indian traditional medicine. Know nothing about it.

                            Splinter,

If your still looking for a practitioner, send me a PM let me know what part of the country you're in and ill see if i know anyone. If nothing else I can give ideas for herbs but that'd require personal info bout your brother.

What the chinese and californians have found most effective in cancer treatment is called Fu Zhen therapy, (all "fusion" puns aside) which is essentially following the allopathic oncology protocol of radiation/surgery/chemo as directed by one's oncologist while simultaneously using chinese medicine (acupuncture to some extent but a heavy emphasis on herbs and nutrition) to work with 3 principle things.

Building the wei qi, defensive qi, or immune system.

Building spleen qi and harmonizing digestion.

                            Building blood.

Other things are addressed as the patients pattern differentiates itself, but these three things are very important for any one undergoing chemo or radiotherapy. Including but not limited to clearing heat, draining damp or phlegm, dispelling stagnations of blood qi food and or phlegm, all as appropriate depending on the patient.

If these can be kept up, the patient can survive the chemotherapy long enough for it to work.

The problem with the chemotherapy is that while destroying fast growing cells it will take its toll not only on the cancer tissue but on the GI tract and the blood as well. Given the intimate relationship between the immune system, the circulation of healthy blood, and the GI tract, the failure of the latter will quickly become the failure of the former. And one of the most important aspects of recovering from cancer if it does go into remission, is maintaining a strong immune system.

But as Doc said it is of incredible importance even if he intends to treat the issue entirely without western medicine to see a dr, and a specialist at that, to find out exactly what he's dealing with. And do so immediatly.
Show me a man who has forgotten words, so that I can have a word with him.

PM if you don't want to be public about this.

                              Hope he's doing well.
