i don't know if this guy is completely who he says he is, but how you can be so sure he isn't is still a mystery to me.

i'd like to see some examples of where he has been noncommittal, as you put it. as seen in the video linked above, he appears to have commitments, and positions he sticks by. i also like his position on becoming energy independent, reducing green house gas emissions by 80% by 2050, etc..which weren't mentioned in this video.

it's funny what you said about "entitlement," because, from my perspective, it's something the wealthy upper class has almost always seen as a right, not a privilege.

of course, i don't know if obama's economic plan will work or not, but i say, hell, it's better than what we have now. and i think it's honorable that someone is finally campaigning for the lower and middle class...as opposed to giving more huge tax breaks to rich corporations -- who make their money of everyone else -- while all along taxing people who can't even pay they're morgage and/or fill up their tanks with gas.

you've said before, that what works in other countries, can't work in america. well then, perhaps what hasn't worked elsewhere, can, in fact, work in the states.

as for voting, well, it would seem that republicans don't even really need to get people out to vote anymore. now they just control and rig the way voting machines work..lol... because that's how you really insure a win.

I changed my mind. Like a lot of people, I was initially swayed by his eloquence into thinking that he had a superior level of intelligence. Now, it starts to make sense: Harvard law graduate that goes into some bullshit community service and doesn't survive in a law practice.

What amazes me, is that these people, from BOTH parties, are the best that America can produce for this race?

For instance Ironcross said he would do a better president. On what basis? What would be your economical policy, your foreign policy, your educational policy. It is quite difficult matters where to have an opinion is quite complex for someone of your age.

I listen teachings on Shantideva's Bodhicharyavattara where the practice of equalizing oneself with other is emphasized. All sentient beings are equal in the fact they want happiness and not suffering. From that view it becomes more difficult to discriminate. Compassion may have different ways, just as the Buddhas had different teaching for different people or like the 1000s dharma doors there are in the Chan tradition...

just another conspiracy...? well...

1. i don't think there is bases for the war in iraq. it was clearly planned ahead of time. 911 was an excuse.

2. i think republicans are much more manipulative in the ways they've acquired votes, look at the 2000 nd 2004 presidential elections, evidence of voter disenfranchisement, etc..

3. and, i don't think obama is trying to "penalize" the upper class any more than reagan, a republican president, did during his presidential term. because, according to his plan, those who make over 250,000 will need to pay the same amount in taxes as they did when reagon was in office.

4. in america, where the rich control and abuse power, the less affluent -- mostly minory groups -- seem to deserve a little "entitlement." in my mind, however, it's more a matter of upholding a person's inaliable rights...than it is a matter of favoritism or the giving out of appropriations.

You're missing the point about Obama.

What he says he'll never be able to accomplish; there just isn't the money available, regardless of how he taxes the "rich". By the way, the "rich" is a matter of interpretation, which, when he finds out he won't get enough money from them for all of his highly leftist socialist ideas, more people will find themselves being "rich".

Too many lies. Too much deceit. Countless at this point. I'm tired of watching him. The Republicans are no saints, but they don't partake in voter fraud and "encouragement" like the Democrats have done for the past ten years, and like they're doing now. And mark my words: if Obama gets in, his policies will affect the middle class far more than they will the "rich".

I can afford the nonsense he's suggesting.
