    maybe its a common thing i just watched this vid more then i usually watch a shaolin demo.

    at :46 :56 and 1:14 he sits into the stance oddly, the front foot floats down. at 46 it looks as if he is off balance, but he still does the same thing in each instance.

    he only does it in the cat stance and in those 3 instances, other times in the form he does a normal cat stance that actually look more solid..but anyway yeh thats the best i can do

      i see what you mean. it appears to have something to do with the cross step coming back into that stance. its just on that movement. the front foot is following with the hands, how they pull down and then come back slowly. just a rhythm thing.
