The Protect Tab allows users with permission to "Protect Wiki Articles" to prevent various kinds of changes to the article.
Clicking the Protect tab will load the form where you can select what kind of protection to apply:
When an article is protected, the Article tab indicates this by showing "(protected)" at the bottom.
Preventing articles from using certain Titles
Sometimes there are specific Titles that you don't want any articles to have. You can "Protect" these Titles from your AdminCP, via CES VaultWiki > Wiki Title Protector.
To add a Protected Title, click "Protect New Title". The form allows you to select a Namespace and enter a Title that can't be used in that Namespace.
To prevent the Title from being used in all namespaces, select '*'.
You can remove Titles from this protected list by clicking the corresponding checkbox, and clicking the "Unprotect Selected Titles" button.
Managing existing articles
If an article with a Title you want to protect was already created, you can use the article's Delete tab to remove the article.
When asked "How would you like to delete?", select "Physically remove". Check "Prevent Users from Recreating This Article" to prevent this Title from being used in the future.
