the consensus seems to be that the lineage left Shaolin after Hui Ke.

I've heard a few stories how he basically started drinking and hanging out and was poisoned or murdered...not too clear on that anymore...most of the monks at Shaolin now are in the Cao Dong sect, in Fu Yu's lineage.
