My first Shaolin adventure! 13 hours of training in St. Louis with Le Fujun of Shaolin Chan City (Shi De Yang's only school in the US) This video shows a few bits and pieces. I had a fantastic time, and learned a lot. I have much to learn, and a massive mountain to climb, but I wouldn't trade the experience for the world. Hope you guys like the pictures and video!

actually he sent his wife to pick me up from the airport, then they both took me to the airport to return home at the end of the weekend. They are the nicest people i've ever met. Yes that girl toughed it out with the rest of us, she came to support her boyfriend, and decided to join in. we were all surprised how much effort she put in. she took breaks when she needed them, but she stuck it out for the entire day. All in all it was a good day, a bit hot, got into the high 90s around 1 or 2pm but clouds came in and cooled us off. from 6am to 7:30pm. It was the best experience of my life, by far the hardest day i've ever been through physically, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Fujun is very knowledgeable in not only Shaolin kung fu, but Chan philosophy, he's fluent in Chinese and the nicest guy i've ever met. I hope to learn much more from him in the future. He does these immersions twice a year to plan for annual trips to Shi Deyang's school in China. He is part of the Shaolin warrior monks reserve team, and a disciple of Shi Deyang. He's the man : ) I miss him already, I gained a lot from him, and hope to make a visit again soon and train with them all again, it was a great weekend.
