    Stuff to buy in thailand :)

    Im wondering, are there any american muscle cars there? how is it out there if you look at a magazine under cars for sale are there just go peds or somthing?

    And could you find a old skool american muscle car for sale ?

    What about movie cameras and stuff like that, must be alot of those kind of stuff?

    Uh, no.

    Importation of cars not made in Thailand usually carries a 200% (and progressively lower, depending upon age) import duty.

    For example, my Porsche Turbo Cayenne, originally valued new at 100K in the US, would cost the equivalent of 300K in Thailand. After seven years of age, that import duty drops to near zero, but there are other excise taxes involved. Also, US cars have the steering wheel on the "wrong" side; the Thai drive on the left, not on the right.

    Not the place to buy any car.
