Audemars Piguet x Travis Scott launches Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Skeleton “Cactus Jack” Limited Edition
Audemars Piguethigh quality watches replica has teamed up with American rap star Travis Scott and his record label Cactus Jack to launch the new Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Skeleton “Cactus Jack” limited edition watch. Interestingly, Scott actually hinted at the collaboration half a year ago in a lyric from his latest album Utopia , which was released in July 2023, singing "Chocolate AP." As shown in Scott's "Chocolate AP" column, the watch features a dark brown case made of high-tech ceramic, an extremely tough, lightweight material. This is the first time Audemars Piguet has produced brown ceramic, making it unique within the entire Royal Oak collection.
The "Cactus Jack" is 41mm in diameter and 9.9mm thick. It looks fantastic, with the wide octagonal bezel and flat surface of the Royal Oak design really highlighting the richness of the color and fine brushed finish. I can't think of any other brown ceramic replica luxury watches.
Dial-wise, it incorporates design elements from the Cactus Jack while retaining the overall display and functionality of the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Skeleton. The most visible aspect of the collaboration is the custom typography of day, date, week, month and leap year indicators. This is Travis Scott's personal handwriting, taken from a design sketch he made while making the watch.
I don't consider myself a Travis Scott fan and don't feel particularly connected to the idea of owning something that he had a direct hand in designing. At least it's still legible and it does have a bit of irreverence to it, which is fun. The movement powering the watch is visible behind the subdial, the in-house self-winding Caliber 5135 with a 40-hour power reserve. It comes with day indication, day of the week, date, astronomical moon, month, leap year, hours and minutes, all of which will be accurate until the year 2100, assuming it remains wound. You can also view the movement through the exhibition caseback, and on the oscillating weight you can once again see the Cactus Jack logo.
To celebrate the launch of the collection, Cactus Jack hosted a takeover of the Audemars Piguet New York boutique, which included music, a capsule apparel collection and more.
