i tried to fly her out the last time, besides work etc she cant be out of the country because her parents call her every day without fail, she cant go with me even now to cambo or anywhere, well singapore but thats about it.

i have to look into it, cause right now im planning cambo which should be relatively easy but im also trying to work out sendakan in borneo aswell as more importantly vietnam for the end of april ish, which isnt a problem time wise just i got alot going on i gotta straighten it all out and just book a bunch of tickets which is for me right now its a little complicated

but ill look into it, there should be somewhere in patong i can stay or something, if only for a week, the motorbike i dunno ive got a month to look into all this but im also going to singapore in a week still gotta work that trip out

It's an article about how the king, on his 84th birthday, pardoned thousands of prisoners. Well, that's nice. But what's interesting, is that the Phuket Gazette made the forum "unavailable" for that article. In other words, they didn't want people leaving comments about the king and this recent action, for fear that someone would write something "inappropriate".

Yes, Phuket is a nightmare this time of year. It's high high season, and finding rooms is a mess. Lots of people going there, and the hotel rates are astronomical. We had trouble finding a place, but lucked out when a friend of ours had a condo that she hadn't rented yet. It was touch and go for us for quite a while. (I don't even want to talk about flights and stuff, that was another pain in the ass)

When we were looking, a good friend over there suggested that I look at these, as he knows the owners, and that they would try to "help us". Not sure what that means. I just looked at them, damn, well, you take a look. It's getting expensive to be over there. I'm going to have to try to buy something before it gets completely out of hand. Either that, or I'm going to have to fucking learn Spanish if we're going to stay in the US....

You know, there is one option that I just thought of; Boxer John has a friend who has small apartments not far from the "hotel" we put you in last time. They're cheap, not sure if they're available for a week or two, not sure any of them are available at all. They're not the usual tourist things, they're for the locals. I guess Samran can check into it, but you know how much I enjoy using him for hotel reservations.

There was one other place, a small but nice place in Cherngtalay, which we were using for visitors for our gym (the one before the one at Samran's). But I can't remember the name of it. I had a link to it on the russboasia website, which I've taken down. Let me look around and see if I can dig it up.

if i can pull off the thailand trip itll be a miracle ill tell you that, if i could come out for a week though id be stoked, but most of the guest houses and shit didnt even respond to me and the others were booked up, the hotels i didnt even bother cause i cant afford it.

if you can find a decent place for me ill keep my eyes on these flights and ill definately come out, but its tough sitting behind a computer the people who did respond said i left it late to be making reservations...even for febuary lol so whatever i dunno

on a brighter note i got cambodia and vietnam confirmed for the end of feb and the end of march, really looking forward to both of those, but honestly id love to make it out to thailand, 8-10 days on a beach, chillin with u guys and some lil kiddo play time with rich throw in the kick ass pizza + lots of tits on the beach, sounds like a great time...if only, who knows ill keep my hopes up

ive got a question about a friend of mine, hes chinese and hes got a chronic cough thats been going on for like 6 months or something, what could that be? and how should he go about getting that checked out, some type of scan or something? i dont want him to develope h-pylori or cancer or some shit or whatever, hes chinese so you know hes kind of full of shit his mom told him it was the "hundred day cough" i couldnt believe he said that but its been double that time and he coughs very often and its accompanied with phlegm he says

anyhow besides that i wish i was in old thailand, maybe ill get out there in june or something sadly couldnt make it there in time, doing penang in early feb then cambodia in late feb so ive got something to look forward to...id still rather be eating pizza and laying on the beach man but oh well!!

He needs to be tested for TB (tuberculosis). There is a blood test that can be gotten, and he'll need a chest x ray also. It's common with Asians, and what's even more common is the idiotic family diagnosis of "hundred day cough". God these people can be so stupid and ignorant. As for you, as you've been hanging out with this guy, you need a TB test too. Remember, you're not in America anymore, and these diseases are, though not common, prevalent enough in Asia to be a concern.

It's getting more quiet here. The tourists are starting to head home, though we do have tons of Russians running around the island. Hot looking women they are, the ones from the break away satellites (the Ukraine, the 'stan's, etc). The eastern Russians that we have here are really rough and crude, though they don't seem to bother me. Just lots of them here.

Possibility that we'll be here for a bit to deliver Boris. We're still thinking about it.

Oh, and there are plenty of guest houses and rooms available here. I could probably find you one in the Cherngtalay area. I would just have to look and ask around.
