I think we could do well if something's were more "socialized" like in some of those other countries which have proven that it is not evil, or anarchic.

Yes, I see how well the Swedes live.

They spend six months a year living in little shit houses in their little bunker like communities in Phuket, during the winter months. They drag their families there, and put their kids in Swedish run schools.

You see, after they work about five months, most of these Phuket goers have made all the money that they're going to be able to take home. With tax rates hitting over ninety percent in some instances, the upper middle class gets taxed more and more, the more money they make. They hit a ceiling whereby their tax rate just gets to a point where all of their money goes back to the government. No reason to work anymore, they move to Thailand and live in very very ecooomical circumstances to survive, in preparation for the next run of work during the spring and fall months.

As for Obama, pay attention to him. His lies and deciet are abundant. And go get a few books about him; there's plenty written about him now. Easy to find.

The people in NOrway do live in a very socialist society; many of the Norwegians' I met in Thailand (there are many there) live off the social tit. Never met so many "welfare" types in my life. A lot of these guys get state subsidies, which, is nice.

but, the money comes from oil. They have lots of it, and the government, god bless them, share the profits with the populace.

Stop comparing other countries systems to ours. What you do in China won't work in the US, etc, etc.

I think I'm at the point where I expect politicians to lie. Its what they do. I dont really think you can criticize one for lying because all of them do it. Thats actually part of the game. YOu need to tell people what they want to hear so they vote for you. This time around I actually do care about the issues. I dont like Mccains view on international affairs, his stance on Iraq, that he doesnt know the difference between sunni and shiite, that he is a self proclaimed illiterate when it comes to computers, that his tax code favors the already wealthy Americans and corporations and his choice for running mate. Palin I dislike for her stance on things too. For instance her super pro life stance even in instances of rape or incest, he belief that the Iraq war is a mission from god, that she doesnt believe in global warming, she is pro creationism in schools, she is part of a pentecostal church, belonged to a secessionist group in Alaska, has a a wealth of family issues to deal with (namely new born autistic baby, pregnant 17 year old daughter and 3 other children to deal with), is literally married to big oil and lacks any qualification to deal in complex foreign affairs issues.

Mccain and party all seem to run on this economic notion of the "trickle down effect". That if you give enough money to the wealthiest people in the country it will eventually trickle down to everyone else. The problem is this is complete bullshit. It goes against human nature. In the past 8 years Bush has pursued this idea and its only made the rich far richer and the poor alot poorer.

So, in conclusion. In an election of bad choices. Mccain - Palin is the absolute worst choice our country can make right now. I cannot stress that enough. The BBC did a poll too and found the of the 22 countries they surveyed said their opinions of the US would remain negative if Mccain was elected. It really would be like 4 more years of Bush. Now, raise your hands if you thought Bush was a good president.....

I'd vote for Palin as VP of my bedroom. Not just because she's hot but because as stupid as she seems to be, I bet I'd have the time of my life with a woman like her.

OK, I'm going to be jaded and cynical here. But after reading some books on Obama, and watching recent events, I'm going to propose the following. AS Obama is such a piece of dishonorable shit:

Since Palin, our beloved VP of love, is rapidly eroding into Obama's electoral votes, Obama will probably ask Biden to step down (to "resign") thus allowing Hillary to step up to the plate as VP. Which will cinch the election for him.

How's that for jaded and cynical?

IM curious Doc. Would you actually want Saah Palin to be President of the United States? McCain has like a 1 in 3 chance of dying in his first term of office. The guy is old. Hes had cancer like 5 times. Its a serious question to ask. She thinks foreign policy experience is being able to see Russia from an island in Alaska.

                  Would you want Joe Biden?

Because as I see it, McCain has a higher probability of surviving office than Obama, LOL...

She doesn't scare me as much as Obama. I don't prefer her, but I think she's the lesser of two evils. At least she has some real work experience (Obama worked in a law firm for one year), has some real governing and executive experience, and seems to have principles and values that she sticks by, when she makes a decision.

Obama basically tells people what they want to hear. He's weak. He's a slick bullshitter with a lot of style and no substance, who, as I see it from reading about him, focused his life towards political self advancement, regardless of helping people around him.

It's a sticky subject. The conservatives outright hate this guy, the liberals outright love him. There doesn't seem to be an inbetween. He's a very polarizing figure. It's just not good. If he gets elected, there will be strife in this country. And worsened recession, most likely even a depression. His tax policies have historically been proven to be disadvantageous.

Thats the problem with politics today though isnt it. Half the country outright loves the leader and the other half outright hates him. Seems like most people have already made up their minds in the election and there is nothing that can be said or done to change that. Seems like every politician these days is extremely polarizing.

I dont think McCain is as polarizing as Obama. There isn't the same love hate relationship with him; it seems to be either "lesser of two evils" or "apathy". with Obama, it seems to be outright undying adulation or severe disgust. He's an interesting guy, as he really came out of nowhere, has relatively no experience (compared to many other state senators who have really done something for many years), but he's smooth, young, and, I hate to say it, but black. And that has been a helpful issue to him. And it will be a hurtful one when it actually comes to voting.

Interesting election. I just don't remember anything quite like this in my lifetime. And I think it's going to become even more interesting, as McCain Palin start to grab more and more potential electoral votes, and Obama gets more and more desperate. Gonna be fun to watch.

As for my personal feelings, I can sum it up best with this little story:

A few months ago, when Obama was battling Hillary for the nomination, and McCain was on his way to capturing the republican one, an Australian stopped me in Thailand and said "With 360 million people in the US, are those the three best you could find?"

                            My feelings exactly.

I can see where McCain and Hillary came from, but have you ever wondered what started Obama? Where did hsi real money come from? Who's behind him? What started his trajectory? WHO is behind him....

U sa Mc Cain doesnt divide that there is less emotion, but the republicans use the fear of muslim extremism and terrorism. there are plaing on emotions to get votes. not veri rational

U also ask who is behind Obma.

So who is behind Mc Same?
What was his position on 9/11/1973 when Pinochet attacked freedom, with the CIA apparentl behind him? What was his relation with Kissinger who congratulated Pinochet and put fire to vietnamese civilians?

What is his relation with the state of Israel and its continuous polici of killing civilians and children and violating freedom and human rights? How is he going to stop terrorism when he supports policies that fuel terrorism? Again, it is in the interest of republicans to have terrorism so thei can be voted for. Is he going to go against his interest? What was his position when the USA supported Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein? Who is behind him?

Most european countries have a different perspective on Israel than the US? R u going to stai on ur own or r u going to go deeper into dialogue? the same goes with Afghanistan, there is now a kind of consensus in France that militari option wont go far and there is a need to talk with certain talibans, the guis that McSame supported a few iears ago.

As for socialism, it is interesting that the republican administration is nationalizing Fanni and Mc, these mortgage companies. Benefits for private people, losses for the public. So who's going to pai if not the tax paiers? Strange republican socialism that is no socialism.
