I have never studied with a Shaolin monk and don't feel any need to do it. Basically I know little about them. But, when we were notified about the Love Edit video, which I enjoyed, I went over to the site and also read the brief introduction about SYM. The thing is, I just can't help to wonder more about his story of running out to catch the cab, without friends, etc., and making a dash for it, away from the watchful eyes of his countrymen.
Why did he run at that time and what were the repercussions? I imagine he's looked at differently, when, for example he goes back to China for a visit, by his peers, Masters, and so on. The question is: how so? And, well, why did he decide on that as the best means to achieve his goals?
Thanks,
g
