Well my physical therapist told me Yoga is not for now... in qigong same thing, i must do only the movements without back movements. Well before talking about the other treaments, I'll see how I feel after acupuncture. I'm going to an acupuncturist tomorrow. could you tell me what's the difference between fingers acupuncture and needles acupuncture. the girl told me if i'm not afraid of needles i can choose this way but if i am there is the fingers acupuncture..

fingers on points is acupressure. needles on points is acupuncture. the difference is with acupressure you can only treat two points at once, and only one patient at a time. With needles you can treat more patients.

I don't know much about acupressure. But I know acupuncture works wonderfully. My teacher did that and he cured people of their problems in one or two visits only. I don't know how much it would do because I don't know your whole problem. But it would certainly help. No doubt. They get needles hooked up with electricity. Feels cool. And when it's done it will be much better. By the sounds of it, it seems more effective than acupressure. But I don't know how well that works for curing your problems.

Ok guys that was crazy! This woman knows what she's doing. My case is probably a thing about emotions some years ago, espacially when i change to my private high school. That is the cause of my headaches that i have some months ago and the Qi problem moved in my back. The real cause is from liver and gall bladder. So I have to try now if I still have that pain. In 3 weeks I should be cured!!!! Thats a great day for me.

                EXCEPT ONE THING!!!

I asked her if i should stop my Qi Gong practice. We talked 10 minutes about that. She told me I really should find a master because i will have to go in psychiatry hospital soon if i dont stop. I readed everywhere and they say Ba Duan Jin is not dangerous but she kept answering by qi gong is EXTREMLY DANGEROUS YOU CANT DO IT BY YOURSELF!!! I talked about my sources, "i know a lot of guys on the net...."( and especially Xing Jian helped me a lot). I talked about that video in the russbo video library. Shi De Cheng is demonstrating the two first movements. How can it be dangerous? Shi De Cheng is only doing some simple movments and is saying "Breath in/Breath out". Now, she answered "you don't have any good sources to prove that Shi De Cheng is a real master". I told her my sources and she want I find information on him (She said "What is his connexions with Rampa" or something like that. What is "rampa"?) to prove he's a real master. She will call for me to the China Embassy in my country to verify. ... Is Ba Duan Jin so dangerous if i dont do the movements or breathing properly? She said i can damage my brain by Qi Gong and the thing of psychiatry hospital. That's giving me the creeps!!

don't worry about it buddy, a qigong exercise is just as likely to drive you crazy as it is to cure your back problems.

what do you mean by "dont worry about it", what should i do? Stopping doing Ba Duan Jin by myself? Is it really so dangerous? I'm still talking about Ba Duan Jin. I agree Qi Gong could be dangerous, it's why i dont want to begin Yi Jin Jing or any other Qi Gong practice. But about Ba Duan Jin?

                    Again: what is rampa?

To become a martial monk like Shi De Cheng, Shi Heng Jun, Shi De Yang, and others.. Do we absoluetly need to master the Qi Gong? Is it sure that Shi De Cheng knows properly Ba Duan Jin?

This woman that you went to sounds like a nut. Your liver and gallbladder no doubt are fine. You need an MRI to see what's going on with your lower back. You might have something simple like strained muscles, or, something more involved like a herniated disc or some congenital disorder.

Acupuncture will help with respect to pain management; acupressure also helps, but it is not as potent as acupuncture, or, acupuncture with electrical stimulation (I use all three for myself, for my headaches).

Ba Duan Jin qi gong won't hurt you in and of itself. Just be careful doing some of the movements with respect to your lower back; you don't want to accentuate any injuries that you might already have.

Listen... if you wanna try Traditionnal Chinese Medecine.. you have to accept what they say with the treatments. If she said my liver and gallblader is not ok, that's probably true. It's very less painful since the treatment. Just let the magic of acupuncture go...

I don't care for the MRI. First, here, that takes at least one month before having the MRI for a back problem and after there is the diagnostic and treatments. My problem will be solve in 3 weeks with acupuncture. I don't want any new american medicine treatments. Their MRI they can put it where i think. I found my curing way.

About Qi Gong, during a treatment of acupuncture, should I stop my practice? And is it certain that Shi De Cheng is a real Qi Gong master?

i'm sorry. this is a textbook example of one way in which "alternative" treatments can be very harmful. i'm all about finding new ways to help oneself... but when you have some people accepting thousand-year-old, spiritual cures INSTEAD OF scientifically proven treatments, even to the point where they refuse to even be diagnosed by scientific medicine, something has got to change.

yeah ok but that's not changing the fact that if i'm cured by acupuncture, why should i pass a MRI? ...

well.... to find out whether or not you've been cured by acupuncture, for starters.
